Life After CBSE Results 2026: A Step-by-Step Guide
The marks are out. Whether youβre celebrating or contemplating your next move, the next 48 hours are crucial for your academic future. Here is exactly what you need to do.
1. Secure Your Official Documents (DigiLocker)
The online printout is only “provisional.” For college admissions, you need the digitally signed version.
- Step: Log into DigiLocker using your APAAR ID or the 6-digit PIN provided by your school.
- Download: Get your Marksheet, Migration Certificate, and Passing Certificate immediately.
2. Not Happy with Your Marks? (Re-evaluation 2026)
If you expected a 90 but got a 75, don’t panic. CBSE has a 3-stage verification process:
- Verification of Marks: CBSE re-totals your marks (Cost: βΉ500/subject).
- Photocopy of Answer Sheet: You can request to see your actual paper (Only after Stage 1).
- Re-evaluation: Challenging specific questions (Cost: βΉ100/question).
- Deadline: The portal usually opens 5β7 days after the result. Keep checking cbse.gov.in.
3. Choosing the Right Path
- Class 10 Students: Don’t just pick “Science” because of peer pressure. Look into Diploma courses, ITI (Web Development/Digital Marketing), or the Commerce stream if you enjoy finance.
- Class 12 Students: Admission portals for DU, Mumbai University, and private design/tech colleges are now active. Ensure your “Best of Four” subjects are calculated correctly.
